Better health, built together.

Good primary care does not happen in isolation. We work with the NHS, local councils, universities, community organisations and innovators to deliver more for the people of South London.

Who we work with

Partners across our communities.

From the wider NHS to grassroots groups, our partnerships help us reach further and care better.

Primary care & the NHS system

We work within our Primary Care Networks and alongside South East London ICB and neighbouring practices to join up care, share learning and respond together to local need, such as stepping in to vaccinate housebound patients across Lewisham.

Local authorities

We work with Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham councils on public health and social value, supporting healthier neighbourhoods across the boroughs we serve.

Universities & colleges

We run an active student outreach programme with universities across South and Central London, including Goldsmiths, LSBU, Queen Mary and the University of Greenwich, helping new students register quickly with a local GP.

Community organisations

We partner with local charities and community groups across Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham to reach the patients who need us most.

Innovation & research

Our practice-founded healthtech arm, Hippo Labs, develops tools that help us find and reach patients with care gaps. We also partner on early-detection work, including prostate cancer screening, and are in discussion with Guy’s and St Thomas’ on community space at Pasley Park .

Technology partner

Built with Hippo Labs

Some of the technology that makes Penrose work was shaped on our own front line. We work in partnership with Hippo Labs, an NHS healthtech company whose proactive care tools help our teams find and look after the patients who need us most, without adding to the pressure on the clinical team.

Their main tool, Hippo Recaller, automates the work of identifying, inviting and following up patients for the reviews, immunisations and long-term condition checks that keep people well. At Penrose, it has helped us improve our diabetes recall by sharing the work more evenly across the team, rather than adding hours to anyone’s day.

“The Hippo Recaller has completely changed our practice. What used to be challenging is now quick and simple.”

Sunil Gupta, Managing Partner, Penrose Health

Hippo Labs now supports more than a million patients across the UK, and was named HealthTech Company of the Year at the 2025 UK Business Tech Awards. For us, the partnership means more time spent with patients, and fewer people falling through the cracks.
