Helping shape a simpler way to get a fit note

When you are unwell and cannot work, getting a fit note should be straightforward, and the support around it should help you stay well and return to work when you are ready.

Penrose has been selected by the Department of Health and Social Care as a partner in a national pilot to improve how fit notes work. We are helping to test new approaches that make the process simpler for patients and connect people with the right support, rather than just a piece of paper. This work grew out of our wider efforts to make general practice easier to reach and more proactive.

It is one of several ways our everyday work is helping shape primary care more widely, and it means our patients often benefit from new ideas first.
