Looking after someone else’s health

Many of us help look after someone else, a child, an older parent, or a partner, and managing their healthcare alongside everyday life is not always easy.

We can set you up with proxy access, which lets you manage another person’s GP care online, with their permission, in the same way you manage your own. That can mean ordering their repeat prescriptions, booking their appointments, or seeing the information you need to help them. It is often used by parents and by carers, and it can take a lot of the stress out of looking after someone.

If you would find this helpful, talk to your practice and we will help you set it up. And if you are a carer, do let us know, so we can support you too.
